ARIDO recognizes quality interior design education programs at Ontario universities and colleges through ongoing involvement with these institutions, their students and graduates. A number of ARIDO-recognized programs are also accredited by CIDA (the Council for Interior Design Accreditation).
The Council provides the foundation for excellence in the interior design profession by setting standards for education and accrediting academic program that meet those standards. Council accreditation signifies that the interior design program is meeting educational requirements to prepare graduates for entry into the profession.
Members of ARIDO have participated in the Council as volunteers on the guidance committee, standards committee, board of visitors and accreditation committee since 1972.
