OGCA Procurement Day

Published on June 04, 2012

On April 16, 2012, the OGCA brought together more than 100 influential construction, design, and procurement professionals to address issues of procurement within the industry.

The objective of the Procurement Day was to conduct a collaborative and candid discussion about the issues faced by all sides of the procurement equation in order to seek common ground and identify mutually satisfactory ways to address these issues.

The idea for the Procurement Day forum stemmed from informal discussions with a number of provincial associations representing general contractors and mechanical and electrical trade contractors. The idea was then presented to associations representing architects, consulting engineers, interior designers and a broad range of buyer groups in Ontario where interest and buy-in were quickly expressed.

ARIDO was one of many associations who participated on April 16, 2012. To view the full report, now available on the procurement day website, please click here.
