Each year ARIDO hosts over 150 events for our members. The majority of these are Professional Development Seminars which are meant to further the professional capabilities and expertise of our members and increase their competitive position in the marketplace. By far the largest among these events is IIDEX/NeoCon Canada, Canada's largest exposition and conference for the design, construction and management of the built environment. With over 15,000 attendees, and 100 seminars, ARIDO takes great pride in organizing this event for the design community each September, and has done so since 1984. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the event. IIDEX/NeoCon Canada is owned by ARIDO and produced and managed by Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. (MMPI).
As part of IIDEX/NeoCon Canada each year, the Innovation Awards are distributed to celebrate the latest products and booths featured at the show. Organized by Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and MMPI, the awards are distributed as part of the ARIDO Awards ceremony each year.
In addition to these events, ARIDO attends a number of trade shows and events over the course of the year to broaden awareness of the profession and showcase the talent of our membership across the province.
